Princess and Ambassador Owners Club.

Club Information.

The Princess and Ambassador Owners Club, which is based in the United Kingdom, is dedicated to helping owners of "Wedge" shaped saloons gain the maximum from their cars.  The club, which was started by four enthusiasts in May 1997, has grown from strength to strength, with well over one-hundred members worldwide today. So, if  you are an owner of either an 18-22, a Princess or Ambassador motorcar, this club is certainly the one for you.

With the increasing passage of time since the last Ambassador was produced in 1984, thoughts are increasingly turning towards spare parts in order to keep the cars on the road. Some new parts are still available but these are getting less as the time passes.  In order to address this, wherever possible, the Princess and Ambassador Owners Club purchases spares before they become obsolete, for re-sale to  members when required, enabling us to keep the vehicles on the road for many more years. The club has also purchased several key service items in largish quantities, which are offered for sale at  reasonable prices to club members.  In addition, we are in contact with several specialist parts suppliers who are often able to find even the most elusive parts. (A small selection shown right).

There are many other benefits from becoming a member of the Princess and Ambassador Owners Club. The first of these is this internet site; the Members Page is a highly useful location where members can place advertisements for cars or parts they have for sale.  In addition, the page serves as a place where requests are made, be it for any particular car they wish to purchase or certain hard to find spares which are required.   On top of that, all meetings which club members are invited to attend are advertised well in advance.

A key feature of any car club is its regular contact with the membership by means of a Newsletter. Princess and Ambassador Owners Club members receive a bi-monthly newsletter which is full of information, and is written by club members. As well as the huge array of both technical and general information in each newsletter, there is also a space provided for cars and parts for sale and wanted, as well as the details of up-coming club events and news of shows we will attend.

Throughout the summer months and into early autumn, the club arranges several meetings at interesting locations throughout Britain. These gatherings are excellent for members as they are able to share thoughts on the cars, discuss ideas and look for assistance with any problems which nevertheless occur on older cars. Meetings are usually arranged at Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings; Bromsgrove, The Museum of British Road transport; Coventry, The Cotswold Wildlife Centre; Burford, The Cotswold Motor Museum; Cheltenham, and this year for the first time, Nuffield Place, Oxfordshire. As well as these meetings, the club attends several classic car shows in the summer months, details of which are always made available to members in plenty of time. If you are an owner of an 18-22, Princess or Ambassador in ANY condition and would like to meet other fellow enthusiasts then our meetings are the place to be. You will be made most welcome, there will be great interest shown in your car and you will have an excellent time. See you there!

Membership of the Princess and Ambassador Owners Club for one year costs £20 for new members, this includes a ONE-OFF joining fee of £5. Every additional renewal costs £15 which occurs annually. We are a very friendly small club, run entirely by members for the benefit of all members and have no paid staff.

If you would like any more information regarding the club then please e-mail us at the address at the foot of the page, we will try to answer any queries you may have. Alternatively if you would like to join, please let us know your details by E-mailing us at the same address, and we will contact you as soon as possible. We look forward to greeting more fellow enthusiasts.
